The DOS will be increasing nonimmigrant visa application processing fees next month

The U.S. Department of State announced they will be increasing nonimmigrant visa application processing fees effective May 30, 2023. These fees required to obtain a visa stamp from the U.S. Consulate/Embassy. This visa stamp allows individuals to travel to and re-enter the U.S. under their applicable visa classification.
New Visa Filing Fees
For visa classifications that do not require a preliminary I-129 petition filing, the filing fee will now be $185. The TN visa classification falls under this category. Recall that the reciprocity fee for TN visa stamps was also recently adjusted to $104 / $382 (depending on the validity period of the visa). Note: these changes only apply to Mexican citizens who are required to possess a TN visa stamp for travel to the U.S.; Canadian citizens are exempt.
Updated Visa Fees
- For H, L, O, P, Q, and R visas, the filing fee will now be $205
- For E visas, the filing fee will now be $315
- For Border Crossing Cards, the fee will now be $185
